In this post I continue discussing the third reason listed in 5 Reasons Why Altars Are Good For You.
The assembly of an altar sets in motion any issues that require addressing, clearing or healing to facilitate your progress and expansion.
What does this mean?
When you indicate to the universe that you are ready and willing to incur change, it sends you what you need (not what you think you need) to clear up any old patterns and moribund behaviour.
Example: You cast a spell for success in a new endeavour. Several hours later you get into an altercation with a person from your past. When you step back and pause, peering from a neutral stance you see how this relates to your fear of success since you always felt you could never measure up to their expectations of you. Instead of backing down, this time you consciously choose to adjust your habitual response and stop playing small.
When you choose change you become that change before it is.
Craft the energy you want your manifestation to be born from. Is your intention spurred by fear, desperation, negative thoughts or a shadow aspect of Self? Or is it fuelled with love, excitement, fervour or trust?
~ Imbue your altar with the qualities and energies that correspond with your intention.
~ Charge your altar by feeding it only with energy from resonant head and heart space. Don’t rush over it in an emotional flurry or disconnect.
~ Assemble your altar in concord with lunar rhythm. For example: New Moon to bring you what you need, Full Moon to appreciate and acknowledge your path thus far, waning Moon to clear away subconscious obstacles and self-imposed limits.
How do you instil your intention with the most favourable
energy in the moment of its first breath?
*I Am Witch. I craft on purpose with purpose.*
Own it. You know you want to.

Thank-you Stella, informative as usual! “Don’t rush over it in an emotional flurry or disconnect”, is often overlooked. Infusing our actions with intention, being present, being aware of how we interact with others and our environment are so powerful.

@Petrea, agreed, going through the motions like a robot is totally ineffective.

“When you choose change you become that change before it is.”
I guess I needed to hear that for today. Just as a reminder, you know.
I’m very fond of altar building or sacred space, how I call it. I’m currently building one and keep adding dreams and wishes on it. I also use one for my meditations.
So it was lovely to read your post!

@Margot, I think we all need a little reminder like that from time to time
Thanks for chiming in!

Thx for this reminder Stella…….I made a vision board for my biz and I put it on my altar with a few other things that bring me peace and joy. It makes such a difference to have all these things in one place for me. And I want to spend more time there so I’m glad I read your post
.
Thank you!
